Hello friends, Fall is here and to celebrate the season and Joni Mitchell's 79th birthday (November 7, 1943) we have arranged a special concert entitled: Ballads and Backstories; The musical artistry of Joni Mitchell.
Throughout the summer Dave and I did a series of private house concerts. We enjoyed the intimacy and the living room casualness of performing as a duo, allowing us to give the backstories on many of her songs we performed and offering the audience a greater appreciation of her artistry. It was a resounding success, and now we've decided to bring this same show to a public venue on November 13th.
We'd love for you to join us! Robin & Dave
An evening of Joni Mitchell music by Robin and Dave, with an art exhibit by Chris Justice. Wine, beer and appetizers. Valet parking.
Robin, Dave and Rick Schmidt performing Joni Mitchell's music in a beautiful outdoor setting.
After a four year hiatus from performing as a group, Robin Adler and Mutts of the Planet return with their widely renowned homage to the legendary Joni Mitchell for a free concert in beautiful Encinitas CA. With Barnaby Finch on piano and keys and Jim Reeves on bass.
Jazz vocalist Robin Adler has a devoted following in her hometown of San Diego, California, for her natural delivery and smooth tone. She is especially known for her extraordinary presentations of Joni Mitchell's music, with her husband Dave Blackburn and their band Mutts of the Planet.

“In a world full of imitative vocalists there are precious few artists that find their own unique sound, and fewer still who can consistently touch everyone in the audience on a profound level.”
